In all my years of birdwatching I have never seen such a confiding wild bird.

This bird seemed to positively enjoy the company of the many birders who flocked to see it. In no way was it phased by the sometimes large number of birders present. This bird was happy to come within feet of the birders often deciding to sit on the birders heads and equipment. It really had to be seen to be believed.

Getting decent photographs of this bird presented no challenge at all, in fact many times I found myself having to back off as it was too close for my 400mm lens to focus.
