Common Darter - Sympetrum striolatum

Common Darter - Sympetrum striolatum

A male Common darter eating what I believe is a Large Hornet Robber Fly. Just goes to show how voracious these little insects can be. I have seen darters catch small flies and other small insects but I have never seen one tackle anything as big as this before.
